One year after the 4-day work week: Employee experience | Spinmatic

Spinmatic, a Softquo Holding company, implemented the 4-day work week one year ago with the aim of giving employees a better work-life balance.

To see and analyse how this change has affected our teams’ lives, we conducted a survey among them.

When being asked about what advantage would they highlight about working 4 days a week,
93.5% of our colleagues confirmed that they had a much better work-life balance, and 80.6% feel less stressed than one year ago when they worked from Monday to Friday.

It is also very interesting that almost 84% consider they have improved time management with daily work tasks, while 90.3% feel more motivated than before.

LONGER WEEKENDS, LESS STRESS

We also asked them how the 3-day weekend impacted their lives, with the majority of the people saying the 3-day weekend improved their quality of life, as now they have more time for their hobbies and spending time with their relatives.

In fact, sharing time with family and friends was the most voted option, chosen by 87.1% of the surveyed employees. An impressive 71% use their extra day for doing courses and training, followed closely by those who travel (67.7%) and go to cultural activities such as concerts and museums (64.45).

Practising sports, and rest watching TV close the list with 61.3% and 58.1% respectively.

It looks like our colleagues are making the most of their days off and working more productively during the week! Great news!
